A Lesson in Self-Trust, Signs, and the Wisdom Within
I asked for a sign…
And then drove myself crazy searching for it.
Yesterday, I felt a full-body yes to making a big investment in myself.
But past wounds — investment trauma — made me second-guess...
Was it truly my intuition speaking?
Or was it just my mind making this decision?
Is it actually in alignment?
So I asked for a sign:
A dove-
Something random, something I had no connection to
All day, I caught myself obsessively searching…
Hypervigilant for proof.
Was that a sign? Maybe that? Or that?
I could see it—
How tightly my mind still gripped me.
By evening, I had enough- I knew what I needed to do:
I dropped into my body
I closed my eyes, placed my hands on my shoulders,
And began to move.
Slowly, gently.
My body started to swaying,
My hands grazing my skin,
Quieting the noise,
Set the stage for my soul to speak.
In the stillness, the doubt melted
And a grounded certainty took its place.
In that moment, I pulled the trigger and made the investment.
An hour later, on a call with my moon sister,
We spoke about the Taurus New Moon—
The medicine of listening to your body’s wisdom
And deepening self-trust.
Of course I shared what had unfolded that day—
How I’d spent the morning looking for a sign outside of myself
To confirm what, deep down, I already knew.
How the real lesson wasn’t about receiving a sign—
It was about trusting myself.
Dropping into my body.
Giving myself space to let my soul speak louder than my doubt.
It hit me, even as I was telling her:
Maybe that’s why I didn’t get the sign right away.
Maybe I was being guided to listen within first.
And just as I finished sharing that realization,
I looked down—
And there it was.
An image of a dove 🕊️
Printed on the candle lying in front of me.
A candle my cat had knocked over,
Placing the sign directly into my line of sight.
It made me smile.
A sweet synchronicity.
A little wink from the Universe,
Affirming the lesson that was already alive in my bones:
The wisdom was within me all along.
And while it’s okay to ask for signs…
Sometimes the real miracle is trusting yourself enough to not need them.
Doubt makes you search outside yourself.
Self-trust brings you home.
Your body holds the wisdom your mind forgets.
If you’re standing at the edge of a leap
And doubt is loud-
Soften.
Drop beneath the noise
Let your body guide you home to the answer that’s already within.
If you’re feeling the call to deepen your intuition and strengthen your divine connection…
